FLG – Diversity & Inclusion Mission Statement
One of FLG’s core values is a commitment to Diversity and Inclusion. We are committed to this not only because it is the right thing to do, but because it is integral to how we operate. It influences how we work with and serve our clients, collaborate with colleagues, and recruit prospective FLG lawyers, professional assistants, and paralegals, and how we engage the communities in which we live and practice. This commitment is an essential component and force in our DNA; allowing us to achieving justice for all through innovation, collaboration, and outstanding service. This means we actively strive to recruit and develop a workforce with diverse characteristics and perspectives. For example, this includes diversity of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender expression, age, disability, socio-economic status, military service, family, and marital status.
The Diversity & Inclusion Committee is chaired by Vanessa Septien.
One of the most important factors in maintaining this diverse workforce is an inclusive culture. But dedication to diversity and inclusion requires action. At FLG, we are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace. Our committee steers these efforts and provides support, resources, and solutions for employees with challenges related to diversity and inclusion.
At FLG, through conscious promotion of a diverse workforce, engaged mentoring and sponsorship, and the continual internal and external investment of time, talent and resources, we are building and sustaining an inclusive culture made up of accomplished individuals of all backgrounds.
